''Buhari Likely To Dissolve Cabinet Before May 29''

Special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity Femi Adesina has given hints that President Muhammadu might dissolve his cabinet before his inauguration on May 29.

Speaking on Arise Television on Thursday, Adesina assured that, unlike in 2015, Buhari would not spend a long time before choosing his members of his new cabinet.

Asked if the president would reshuffle his cabinet, Adesina replied: “One thing about governance is that the first mandate is for four years.

“That mandate elapses on May 29, and shortly before May 29, the president is likely going to officially dissolve his government. That is the way it is usually done.

“He says thank you to everybody that he has called to work with him and then he dissolves that government officially.

“Then when he is inaugurated for a second time, he now reconstitutes a government; he appoints his personal aides; he forms his cabinet, he appoints other people to fill other positions.”

There has been speculation that President Buhari will reshuffle his cabinet which took him six months to unveil.

Man Seeks Divorce, Alleges Frequent Beating By Wife

An Ibadan-based man, Samuel Adedeji, on Thursday, told a Mapo Customary Court in Ibadan to terminate the year-old union between him and his wife, Temiloluwa over threat to his life.

In his petition to the court, Adedeji who lived at Ologuneru area of Ibadan accused his wife of frequently beating him and distracting him from his ministry.

“I think that I actually got it wrong by not making proper spiritual consultations before I went to the altar with Temiloluwa as a husband.

“For too long, I have had to cope with all sorts of humiliation, insults, abuses in addition to emotional and psychological torture which I have often suffered from her.

“When Temiloluwa’s troublemaking reached its peak, she started beating me and tearing off my clothes.

“Recently, she gave me three dirty slaps in the night and was attempting to stab me to death that same night when I had to run for my dear life.

“Temiloluwa has no regard for anybody.

“Now, she has left my home and I need to move on too.

“There is no more love between both of us, Samuel said.

However, the respondent was conspicuously absent in the court when she was called to respond to the allegations levelled against her.

The court’s bailiff informed the Arbitrators, led by the President, Chief Ademola Odunade that he had served notices of court hearing on Temiloluwa and that she deliberately ignored the notices.

After careful consideration, Odunade dissolved the union, citing threat to life as the reason.

He ordered that the copy of the judgment be served on the respondent in order for her to be aware of the latest in the case.

Four Ebola Patients Missing After Attack On Eastern Congo Clinic

Four patients with Ebola escaped when a clinic in eastern Congo was attacked by unknown assailants, the Ministry of Health said today.

“Four patients confirmed to have the deadly virus who fled during the attack are still missing,’’ the ministry said, as well as others who were suspected of being infected.

The ministry said that the attack was the second on a health clinic within a few days, as aid agencies and government battle to contain the virus in an area rife with militia groups and public distrust.

So far 553 people have died of Ebola in the outbreak in eastern Congo, which began shortly after the country’s government in June declared an end to another outbreak in the west of the country.

Authorities and aid groups have been struggling to do their jobs in the dangerous eastern region where numerous militias operate, most fighting over the Central African country’s rich natural resources.

According to the health ministry, over 84,000 people have been vaccinated against the virus since August.

Ebola is a highly infectious disease that causes a fever and often leads to massive internal bleeding and death.

Drake's Father Says I’m 100% With R Kelly + He’s Supporting Jussie Smollett Too

Dennis Graham, Drake’s father was chatting about his new single to Variety when he was asked to give his thoughts on R&B superstar R Kelly and Empire star Smollett.

'He’s a good friend of mine. I wish him the best. I hate that it’s happening to him. There’s a reason why women come out after the fact. He has my support 100%,' Graham said of Kelly who was released from custody on Monday after posting $100,00 bail.

Hours before his release, Kelly, 52, pleaded not guilty to 10 counts of aggravated criminal s-x abuse against four victims, three of them minors.

In the controversy surrounding Smollett, Graham said that the 36-year-old actor 'has been misunderstood'.

'As a matter of fact, they know that. That story that came out about Jussie in Chicago is not true about Jussie. Jussie is a friend of mine, also. They have totally reconstructed his story,' Graham said.

Smollett was arrested last week and charged with filing a false police report of a hate crime involving two Nigerian brothers.

Photos: Woman Covers Her Face In Period Blood To Show They're 'Beautiful' & 'Powerful'

Demetra Nyx spent years hiding her periods from boyfriends and being extremely embarrassed every time she came on. But when a change in her contraception meant she had to start keeping a closer eye on her cycle, she started to see things very differently.

She grew to love her time of the month, saying it's "beautiful and powerful", and wanted to share her new appreciation with women around the world.

She started collecting her blood and one day had an "impulse" to smear it across her face and share photos online.

She said: "We hold so much shame in our bodies, and most of us do not realise it until we intentionally explore it. Our periods are an incredibly magical time of month that holds immense power, and our society keeps us away from that as much as possible.

"I am endlessly fascinated by my body and its patterns. Many people talk about the parts of the cycle being like the seasons, with the energy of ovulation being like summer, and the energy of menstruation being like winter. I think that's generally true, but I've also found it's very individual.

"Sharing pictures of blood on my face and body was just an impulse I was creating a series to help women connect with their menstrual cycle, and I thought it would be fun. We can also do things like paint with it or pour it into the earth. I believe it's a beautiful thing to get comfortable with touching your own blood.

"There is a tremendous amount of power in learning that we can experience pleasure from the parts of our bodies we deem in society as 'disgusting'. If we can love the unlovable, all of life opens up to us. We spend a lot of time learning to control our bodies; instead I believe in learning from our bodies.

"My blood to me has become fun, beautiful, and powerful, and playing with it brings me closer to myself."

Demetra, who lives in Los Angeles and works as a s-x coach, had her first period when she was 12.

Oprah Winfrey to Interview Michael Jackson Accusers

Oprah Winfrey will interview Michael Jackson‘s accusers Wade Robson and James Safechuck after HBO’s two-part documentary Leaving Neverland, airs on March 3 and 4, reports Rolling Stone. Both men say Jackson abused them when they were children.

The one-hour special, dubbed Oprah Winfrey Presents: After Neverland, will air simultaneously on HBO and Oprah’s own TV network OWN on March 4 at 10 p.m. EST immediately following the second and final part of the Leaving Neverland documentary. The special was taped before an audience that also included survivors of sexual abuse.

Leaving Neverland premiered last month at the Sundance Film Festival, and last week, HBO unveiled the official trailer of the documentary, which follows Wade Robson and James Safechuck as they recount childhood abuse they claim to have suffered at the hands of Michael Jackson. Both men explain how their experiences with the late pop superstar, who passed away in 2009, have affected them.

Since Leaving Neverland‘s premiere, Michael Jackson’s estate has referred to the film as “tabloid character assassination,” and calling both Safechuck and Robson “perjurers.” The Jackson estate also filed a $100 million lawsuit against HBO and Time Warner, claiming that the network violated a non-disparagement clause from a 1992 contract. Additionally, director of the documentary Dan Reed, also said that he’s received death threats because of the project.

Protest In Greek As Nigerian Man, Ebuka Mamasubek Is Allegedly Murdered By Police [Photos]

A group of individuals on Tuesday, February 26th, clashed with riot police officers outside a precinct in Omonia, following a march in central Athens to protest the death of a Nigerian migrant earlier this month.

According to media reports, 34-year-old Ebuka Mamasubek, a father of two suffered beating at the hands of officers prior to his collapse in the waiting room of the Omonia police precinct on February 8.

A Greek man who saw the police brutality against Ebuka in front of of his shop, shouted at the police to stop beating him.

The march, organized among others by the Movement Against Racism and the Fascist Threat (KEERFA), started in Propylea at 6 p.m on Tuesday.

A statement by an organization, United Women from Africa, reads:

"A few days ago a man from Nigeria, from our community, was murdered at Omonoia square in Athens, by the Greek police. We must march on the streets and shout for justice.

We must do something now before more lives are lost. This is not the first time something like this happens. We already know of two other people from our community who have been recently murdered by the Greek police. And unfortunately many more have lost their lives through the years and those cases remain unknown.

On a daily basis, we are informed of beatings of people of African descent by the police which leave them on the street to die. These murders are silenced.

Ebuka, was the father of two children, one of whom was newly-born. His wife, children and community are now mourning. We stand in solidarity with his family and his loved ones.

The police does not protect us. As the African Community in Greece we constantly feel that our lives are in danger. We demand justice for Ebuka!"
