And last but not the least;

Thank you for agreeing to spend the rest of your life with me.

My Prayer is that as we step into the next phase of our life, God who is the founder of this institution called marriage will lead and teach in all things.

Ok bye we have a wedding to plan.

Florida man mauled by black Leopard after paying $150 for 'full contact experience'

A Florida man was left with his scalp hanging off after paying $150 for a "full contact experience" with a black leopard.

Dwight Turner is suing "real estate investment expert and exotic animal breeder" Michael Poggi after claiming he was mauled inside an enclosure built behind his home.

According to the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission the attack occurred on August 31.

In its report, they say the 50-year-old was charged the sum to enter the fully-grown feline's enclosure and "play with it, rub its belly and take pictures."

But as soon as he entered, the animal attacked, Local10 reported.

The cat went straight for the victim's head, biting his skull; the report states his scalp was left "hanging from his head and his right ear was torn in half."

Turner was hospitalized for a week and required multiple surgeries, his attorney said.

Authorities told the site Poggi (pictured with the leopard, above) was charged with allowing full contact with an extremely dangerous animal, and was cited for maintaining captive wildlife in an unsafe condition.

They said that while Poggi admitted to the charges, he is licensed to have the animal.

Turner's attorney insisted that the entire experience was illegal, thus rendering any waivers signed null and void.

Narrating their ordeal in the hands of SARS, Mrs Nububisi Obiechina, a teacher, said they were arrested on June 2, 2017, and were detained for 22 days, in SARS custody.

She said that the incident started when she received a message that she had a parcel from DHL, and later got a call and the person asked her to send him her house or school address after she had told him that she’s is a teacher.

The petitioner said that when she got home, she told her husband who is a businessman of what had happened, then the husband collected the number from her and called it but it was switched off.

She also said that her husband asked her to give the caller her school address, so on the next day the person called again this time with a different number, after two hours the person called again, she then informed the proprietress of her school, that some people where coming to the school.

Obiechina said after some time, she saw a black jeep, that came to the school and one of them wore a DHL apron and then the person kept calling her while the one on DHL apron was approaching her, adding that when she got close she saw huge men on the jeep and immediately they kidnapped her and started beating her and called her a thief.

The complainant who had no legal representative narrated that she was two months pregnant when they abducted and took her to Ikeja SARS, shrine and started beating her and said they would remove the baby that she would die there and that she should produce the father of the baby that her husband was not the father.

She said, ” At 3 pm, they brought me out I said they should allow me to call my husband so that he would know where I was, I also told them that I have a 5-year-old child in a school that I need to call someone to take the child home, they refused”.

” Later I was allowed to talk to my husband, but the phone was on the loudspeaker, it was oon of the SARS men, Christian that put the phone on speaker, my husband said he had looked for everywhere, that the proprietress told him that some policemen arrested me, it was Christian that told him where I was.” She said

Obechina further stated that the three SARS officers that tortured them are Philip Rilwan, Christian and Harouna Idowu.

” When my husband came to area F, Keeps field, they started beating him and put a tyre on his neck, and said that they will kill him like others that he is a thief. They hit my husband’s head with the butt of a gun and also hit his head with a stone, I was urinating on my body when all the torture was going on”,

“Around 7 pm, they took us to Federal SARS at Ikeja and then gave my husband his phone so he called our pastor and I was also allowed to call a co-teacher friend to help me take care of the child, they said the child should die there.

We spent three weeks in the cell under open roof and rain was beating us, we slept on the floor and as a pregnant woman, I didn’t eat anything, at night they would come and take me upstairs on interrogation, because of the stress and torture, I lost the two months pregnancy.”

“I got pregnant again the second time after we were released so on Sunday, while we were preparing to go to Church, they came again to arrest my husband and Philip Rieninwa, said that the order was from Abba Kyari, I pleaded with them to allow my husband dress up because he was on boxers, but they refused and took him away,”. She said

Obiechina, further said, ” When I couldn’t get through to my husband after one week, then I contacted our lawyer and he said it is getting out of hand so he got an order from the Federal High court that he should be released immediately, and he then wrote to SARS, because of the stress and trauma that I went through, I lost the second pregnancy again.”

” We were awarded the sum of N 2million, by the federal High court because of the brutality and trauma that SARS caused us, but up till now, we have not been given the compensation, we also appealed the judgement but the appeal court dismissed it, nothing has happened since then,” Obiechina said

“SARS, also took the N50,000, that my husband brought to the place, we bailed ourselves with N400,000”. She said.

Mr Okuchukeu Obiechina confirmed the testimony of his wife.

The panel is made up of the Chairman Justice Doris Okuwobi (Rtd), Mr Ebun Adegboruwa (SAN), Mr Taiwo Lakanu, a retired Deputy Inspector-General of Police and a founding member of SARS.

James Bond actor, Sean Connery, dies aged 90

Legendary British actor Sean Connery, best known for playing fictional spy James Bond in seven films, has died aged 90, his family told the BBC on Saturday.

The Scottish actor, who was knighted in 2000, won numerous awards during his decades-spanning career, including an Oscar, three Golden Globes and two Bafta awards.

Tributes immediately began pouring in for Connery who was considered one of the greatest movie stars of his generation.

“How infinitely sad to hear the news Sir Sean Connery has passed away,” stated a message on the Twitter account maintained for fellow Bond actor Roger Moore who died in 2017.

“He and Roger were friends for many decades and Roger always maintained Sean was the best ever James Bond. RIP.”

Connery claimed his Oscar in 1988 for best supporting actor for his role as an Irish cop in “The Untouchables”.

He also starred in “The Hunt for Red October”, “Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade” and “The Rock2.

But it is his smooth, Scottish-accented portrayal of the suave spy 007 that he will be best remembered for.

The first actor to utter the unforgettable “Bond, James Bond”, Connery made six official films as novelist Ian Fleming’s creation, giving what many still consider as the definitive portrayal.

U.S. commandos raid bandits camp in Nigeria to rescue American Philip Walton

The American, Philip Walton,  was abducted on 26 October by suspected bandits in a village in Niger, close to Nigeria. Nigeria has porous borders with Niger..

The US military rescued Walton during a high-risk U.S. military raid in Nigeria.

Officials told ABC News early Saturday that the counter-terrorism mission was undertaken by elite commandos as part of a major effort to free the 27-year-old U.S. citizen before his abductors could get far after taking him captive in Niger.

According to report, the operation involved the governments of the U.S., Niger and Nigeria working together to rescue Walton quickly.

It said the elite SEAL Team Six carried out the rescue mission and killed all but one of the captors, according to officials with direct knowledge about the operation.

“They were all dead before they knew what happened,” another counterterrorism source with knowledge told ABC News.

The Pentagon lauded the rescue mission in a statement.

“U.S. forces conducted a hostage rescue operation during the early hours of 31 October in Northern Nigeria to recover an American citizen held hostage by a group of armed men,” said Pentagon chief spokesperson Jonathan Hoffman.

“This American citizen is safe and is now in the care of the U.S. Department of State. No U.S military personnel were injured during the operation.

“We appreciate the support of our international partners in conducting this operation.”

U.S. and Nigerien officials had said that Walton was kidnapped from his backyard last Monday after assailants asked him for money. But he only offered $40 USD and was then taken away by force, according to sources in Niger.

Walton lives with his wife and young daughter on a farm near Massalata, a small village close to the border with Nigeria.

Nigerien and American officials told ABC News that they believed the captors were from an armed group from Nigeria and that it was not considered terror-related. But hostages are often sold to terrorist groups.

Concern grew quickly after the kidnapping that an opportunity to rescue Walton could become much more dangerous if he was taken by or sold to a group of Islamist militants aligned with either al Qaeda or ISIS and American special operations commanders felt they needed to act swiftly before that could occur, said one counterterrorism official briefed on the hostage recovery operations.

A U.S. State Department spokesperson confirmed after the kidnapping that an American citizen had been abducted in Niger and said the U.S. government was “providing their family all possible consular assistance.” The spokesperson declined to comment on the case, citing “privacy considerations,” but added, “When a U.S. citizen is missing, we work closely with local authorities as they carry out their search efforts, and we share information with families however we can.”

Another American, Christian humanitarian aid worker Jeffery Rey Woodke, 60, has been held hostage for the past four years since being kidnapped in northern Niger by armed militants.

I planned to return iPhones I stole at Osun Mall before my arrest –Suspected looter

Twenty-year-old Suliya Tajudeen was paraded alongside 86 others by the police in connection with looting of public and private property in some parts of Osun State last weekend. Suliya tells BOLA BAMIGBOLA how she was arrested

Why were you arrested by the police?

On the day the #EndSars protest escalated in Osogbo (October 17), some hoodlums broke into Osun Mall and looted it. I was not part of the hoodlums that attacked the premises but I incidentally found myself near the mall when the attack took place.

So how did you get involved?

I was not involved. I went to the mall to meet my hairstylist, who had called me earlier to come over so that I could tint my hair to black. But a few minutes after I got there, I saw many people running towards the mall. I also heard sounds like gunshots. But I wasn’t sure if they were gunshots or something else. We were all scared and so we ran in different directions in the mall.

I could not go out because I believed those that came into the premises might injure me, so I hid. When the hoodlums were looting shops, the rest of us hid in different places. The hoodlums were moving from shop to shop, stealing items. They got to a phone shop and looted it. While they were carting away many phones, two iPhones fell near where I was and I picked them up.

I can’t recognise those people, but they stole a lot of phones. I won’t lie, I took the iPhones and hid them under my clothes and went home.

Why did you do that?

My intention was to return the phone the following day. I had planned to visit my stylist the following day.

So, why didn’t you return them?

I wanted to return the phones the following day but before I could do that, the phones were tracked by the police and I was arrested.

Did you use the phones?

I didn’t use them personally. I don’t even know how to use iPhones. But I put SIM cards in the phones. My friends wanted to download Snapchat and take pictures with the phones, so they put SIM cards in them. The phones were new but not packaged.

What do you do?

I am a ‘runs girl’ (s.e.x worker).

What kind of work is that?

I can’t explain it more than that. I leave you to find out.

Were you part of #EndSARS protest?

No, I didn’t join them but I was at Olaiya Junction, Osogbo while the protest was going I was there to watch them.

How we secured Surulere from hoodlums — Lagos youth leader

A youth leader in Surulere, Lagos, Mr Adedeji Adeoti, has narrated how young people in the area secured the community from attack by hoodlums during the recent EndSARS protest.

Adeoti told the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Lagos on Friday that the concerned youths had to safeguard the community because “it’s our heritage.

“During the crises, we had to mobilise the youths to come out to protect the streets and its environs from the hoodlums.

“We had to come out to safeguard our neighborhood from miscreants because our aged parents and loved ones are all at home and needed protection.

“We had to mobilise youths in the neighborhood to chase away the hoodlums and miscreants who hijacked the peaceful protest,” said Adeoti.

He urged the government to give the youth the chance to speak up and make demands for a better life and secure future.

“We are not quarreling with anyone, what we just want is for government to to listen to the youths, because out of Nigeria’s population of 200 million, 75 per cent are youths and these are the people who voted them into office.

“What we want them to do is to talk to the youths, listen to what they want and take action,” he said.

He, however, called on the youth to calm down and allow the government to consider the demands presented and to further investigate the causes of the mayhem to prevent a reoccurrence.

“I call on all the youths, both educated and uneducated, to be patient, we have given the government the five-for-five agenda, let’s listen to what they are going to tell us,” the youth leader said.

The activist made the disclosure on her Twitter handle.

According to Yesufu: ”Heard I am being cursed in mosques! People finish praying and take time out to curse me in their prayers.

“I have asked they should please let me know how many of these curses they rained on me when I was making the same demands during GEJ! We are all already cursed in Nigeria.”

Veteran Man Utd player, Nobby Stiles is dead

England’s World Cup-winning midfielder Nobby Stiles, aka “Toothless Tiger”, has died after a long battle with illness, his family said on Friday.

He died at the age of 78.

The former Manchester United player was an uncompromising competitor who won 28 caps for England, lifting the FIFA World Cup in 1966.

He provided one of that final’s most iconic images as he danced around the Wembley pitch after the hosts beat West Germany.

As he did so, he had the trophy in one hand and his false teeth in the other.

“The Stiles family are sad to announce that Nobby Stiles passed away peacefully today (Friday) surrounded by his family, after a long illness,” a family statement read. “The family kindly ask for privacy at this sad time.”

Stiles returned to Wembley for another major final two years later with Manchester United as Matt Busby’s side became the first English club to lift the European Cup.

That was when they beat twice-winners Benfica.

“We are extremely saddened to learn of the passing of Nobby Stiles MBE,” Manchester United said in a statement.

“An integral part of our first-ever European Cup-winning side, Nobby was a titan of the club’s history, cherished for his heart and personality on and off the pitch.”

The midfielder made nearly 400 appearances for Manchester United from 1960 to 1971 before he moved to Middlesbrough and later finished his career as a player-coach at Preston North End.

Following his retirement, Stiles managed Preston North End and West Bromwich Albion, with a three-year stint with Canadian side Vancouver Whitecaps sandwiched in between.

However, he longed to return to Manchester and soon took up a role as a youth coach at Manchester United under Alex Ferguson, working with academy players.

He worked with such players as David Beckham and Ryan Giggs — who would go on to be known as the famed “Class of ‘92”.

“Another of our 1966 World Cup-winning heroes leaves us,” former England striker Gary Lineker tweeted. “He had a heart that was even bigger than the gap in his teeth. RIP Nobby.”(Reuters/NAN)

Man is hung UPSIDE DOWN by his GIRLFRIEND'S PARENTS for daring to move in with their daughter

A man was hung upside-down for half an hour in Indonesia because his girlfriend's parents disapproved of the young couple living together without their permission.

Mario Natriti, 23, moved in with his lover Desiana, 20, in East Nusa Tenggara province, Indonesia on 20 October.

His girlfriend's family were furious when they discovered the couple were living together - which is said to have broken a custom that prohibits partners from staying with each other without their elders' permission.

The enraged parents forced their daughter to return home before interrogating Mario and hanging him upside-down.

Footage from a concerned neighbour shows Mario strung up against a wooden fence while the family calmly talk with local soldiers.

Mario stayed in the agonising position for half an hour before his legs gave in and he fell.

He complained of a severe headache upon returning home and was taken to the hospital by his family. There were no immediate signs of any lasting injuries.

The young man's raging mother, Tujuh Juli Yuli, described the incident as an 'inhumane abuse' against her son.

She said: 'I cried after seeing my son being treated like an animal like that. Not only was he hung upside-down, he was also slapped several times.

'I hope for justice for my child's rights. He was treated like an animal. My kid is not a criminal who has to be hanged and tortured and being made into a show for the public.'

The mother reported the incident to the police and provided them a copy of the video as evidence.

Southwest Sumba Police Chief Adjunct Senior Commissioner Joseph Mandagi said they are now investigating the incident and will go to the girlfriend's house to question the parents.

He said: 'We are working on the testimony of the witnesses and see what violations we can charge against the people involved.'

250 staff of TVC jobless after attack on station — Official

Following the recent attack on the headquarters of Television Continental (TVC) in Lagos where the complex housing the station was razed by hoodlums, no fewer than 250 staff have lost their jobs, an official has said.

Andrew Hanlon, the Chief Executive Officer, said more than 500 employees are struggling to work, while 250 staff have been rendered jobless.

TVC was attacked by arsonists where the two stations, TVC and MAX FM, were burnt and several vehicles including cars belonging to the workers burnt.

The two stations were attacked following the October 20 Lekki shooting, where soldiers opened fire on peaceful #EndSARS protesters, killing some and injuring others.

Irate youth took over the streets of Lagos the following day, burning state and private property. Property linked to Bola Tinubu, former Lagos governor, were targeted.

The media stations, which are located at Ikosi-Ketu area of Lagos, are linked to Mr Tinubu and were burnt by the hoodlums.

Stating the impact of the attack on the stations, Mr Hanlon said transmission gadgets, state-of-the-art studios, production rooms, operational vehicles of TVC and cars belonging to members of staff were burnt.

The Lagos State governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, took a tour round the stations on Thursday where he saw the level of the destruction.

“After the rioters invaded our premises and set the place on fire, stone buildings in the premises survived. But the main transmission building was completely destroyed and it was the hub of our operations,” the manager said.

Mr Hanlon said the main auditorium, which housed three studios, three control rooms, three master control rooms and a transmission laboratory, was completely razed.

He added that the stations have suffered losses worth millions of dollars as people’s hard work and investments were destroyed in less than an hour.

Mr Hanlon said the employees and management of TVC and Mac FM are traumatised following the devastation of their workplace and personal property by hoodlums.

He said the management will ensure that employees are looked after despite that their means of livelihood has been threatened.

Meanwhile, Max FM, a subsidiary of TVC, came back on air few days after the attack.

Payment of new electricity tariffs resumes next week- FG

The federal government has approved the resumption of the collection of Service-Based electricity Tariffs (SBT) from next week, after sealing a deal with organised labour.

The government was forced to suspend the implementation of the new electricity tariff regime in September, following a threat of industrial unrest by the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC), its affiliates and allies.

However, the federal government and organised labour have resolved that the tariffs for certain categories of power consumers should be reviewed downward.

While the tariffs for customers in A and B bands were reduced by 10 per cent, the tariff for C band customers was reduced by 30 per cent.

For customers in the D and E bands, their tariffs remain frozen, which implies that there is no increment.

The Special Adviser on Infrastructure to President Muhammadu Buhari, Mr Ahmad Zakari, who confirmed this yesterday during the 51st virtual Power Dialogue organised by Nigeria Electricity Hub in Abuja, noted that since labour has accepted the new terms, the implementation will begin next week.

Zakari said the electricity market in the country will collapse if the government allows it to continue the way it has always been run, adding that the intention of the government is to transit to a market-based regime, where the demand and supply will determine prices.

Angolan authorities seized their accounts late last year.

A colleague and friend of Dokolo, Cedric Mala, confirmed his death on Friday. Isabel dos Santos has not commented, but on Thursday posted a photo of her and Dokolo on Twitter.

Two close family members also confirmed the news but spoke on condition of anonymity.

“I am shocked and devastated by the death of my brother, friend and collaborator Sindika Dokolo,” Mala told Reuters.

The gory way a 2-year old toddler died in the hands of his mother's boyfriend

A mother was too busy meeting strangers from the internet for sex to stop her boyfriend abusing her two year-old son to death.

Candice Jones, 32, was condemned for priorities as she was sentenced to up to 15 years in jail over the August 2018 death of JoJo Gaborsky III in Princeton, West Virginia.

Speaking last Monday, Jojo’s step-grandman Angela Hart told Jones: ‘I begged you to please stop trying to hook up with men on the internet and Facebook for s3x. You were more worried about having s3x than taking care of (your daughter) and Little Joe.

‘I hope you get the maximum time allowed for this and I hope some day you realize that Little Joe’s death could have been prevented if you would have stopped worrying about having s3x or getting with every guy you met online.’

Jones’ boyfriend John Powers, 47, body-slammed JoJo into a bathtub, inflicted a third-degree burn on the toddler’s arm, broke several of the child’s bones and injured him so badly he suffered retinal hemorrhages as well as brain bleeds.

JoJo wasn’t taken to hospital until two weeks after Powers battered him, and died shortly afterwards.

His tiny body had been so badly damaged by Powers’ attacks that loved ones had to partially cover his corpse with a hoodie at his funeral.

Addressing Powers, Hart said: ‘We even had to have a hoodie over the top of his head at his service due to the beating you gave him. ‘We have even seen pictures of the aftermath of you beating him so bad that he had bruises all over his body, head, neck, chest, butt, penis, legs and his big toe.’

‘You deserve to die in prison. I really wish you would see the death penalty…’

Powers struck a plea deal earlier this month, which saw him admit death of a child by a parent or guardian, with a sentence of 15 years to life.

He previously served 13 months behind bars for battering a two year-old child in 1995.

Jones’ own father David Hart condemned her for ignoring JoJo’s screams and cries as Powers pummeled him.

Hart said: ‘I love you with all my heart and soul. That will never change…I’ve been spending lots of time trying to figure our how you got so cold-hearted.

‘You had to hear the screaming and crying and begging for help, yet you chose to do nothing.’

Media that Jones’ older sister Wanda Mann also hit out at her sibling, saying: ‘I’m here to tell you you’re not a good mom, you are the worst of moms, you’re a child’s worst nightmare

‘To sit there while your child…was crying for help, and you did nothing. I hope this haunts you every time you close your eyes.’

Mann warned that Jones would look for another man online, and fall pregnant again when she is released from prison.

Jones struck a plea deal which saw her admit child neglect resulting in death, and will spend between three and 15 years behind bars.

Both she and Powers will have to register as s3x offenders when they are freed from prison.

Lekki Shooting: Bullet shells found by judicial panel members

The judicial panel appointed by the Lagos State Government to investigate police abuses and the shooting at the Lekki toll gate, has recovered bullet shells from the scene.

Six shells were found Friday, 10 days after the shooting, officials confirmed.

The Nigerian Army, accused of carrying out the attack believed to have killed at least two people, had initially denied its troops were at the scene.

It later admitted soldiers were there on the invitation of the state government, but insists they shot no one, despite video evidence showing otherwise.

The bullet shells, found during an inspection of the Lekki site by the panel led by Dorris Okuwobi, would be expected to serve as critical evidence to establishing the truth.

The shells were recovered in the presence of journalists and the inspection was done alongside representatives of the Lekki Concession Company.

The representatives, Abayomi Omoruwa and Gbolahan Agboluaje, had earlier appeared before the judicial panel on Friday to present the CCTV footage recovered following the shooting.

The panel did not receive the CCTV footage. It said the main assignment for the Friday was to visit the incident site.
