Mum fat shamed by her 3 year-old sheds almost half her body weight

A mum who was called "fat" by her own son when she tipped the scales at 21st after giving birth has since shed almost half her body weight.

Schauna Harshman, 35, grew up fleeing ashamed of her figure and was often teased by her peers at school, leaving her feeling like the "ugly, fat friend".

The mum-of-three gained weight during her pregnancies and ate a lot of fried food, processed meals, fast food and pasta, washing it down with soft drinks.

But she hit "rock bottom" and decided to make major changes to her lifestyle after her son Chase, then aged three, called her "fat" and laughed, leaving her in tears as she locked herself in the bathroom.

Schauna, a medical coder from the US city of Grand Forks, North Dakota, who is now 11st 2lb, said: "One day, my middle son was making fun of me, calling me 'fat' and laughing about it.

"I was fed up of my weight but to hear my son, who loves me, make fun of me that way, I'd had enough. That was my rock bottom.

"I was angry and emotional. Of course, he had no idea the impact it had on me as he was only three.

"I remember locking myself in the bathroom and crying. Asking myself how I was going to fix the problem.

"I told him that it's not funny to call people fat and laugh about it. He could see I was really upset and he felt sad when he saw I was crying."

The mum started going to the gym, improved her diet and went for weight loss surgery after losing 4st.

When she fell pregnant in 2004, Schauna used it as an excuse to eat and drink whatever she pleased without paying any regard to her weight.

Pregnancy saw Schauna gain 4st and 2lb, taking her weight to 15st 7lb when her eldest son, Mason, now 15, was born.

Life as a new mother didn't help Schauna's weight as she didn't take care of herself.

She only ate a lot of fried food, processed meals, fast food and pasta.

From then on, Schauna continued to gain weight with her following two pregnancies.

She underwent lap band surgery, which placed a band around the top of her stomach to create a smaller stomach, in March 2013.

Surgery helped Schauna to lose more than five stone initially, but she has also tried numerous diets to encourage her weight loss through nutrition.

She has tried the low carb diet keto and shake-only diets, and she is now a healthy 11st 2lb and wears UK size 12 clothing.

Since surgery, Schauna eats eggs, chicken and turkey for protein, nuts, protein shakes and vegetables with every meal.

"In January 2019 I started the keto lifestyle. I spent some time researching and following accounts and decided to give it a try.

"Through keto I learned that it's about maintaining a lifestyle rather than constantly shedding, so I switched to macro counting, which is what I'm currently doing and I feel amazing."

She added: "My friends and family are so proud of me and I'm so thankful for their support. It's given me a real drive to keep going and to show people that you can do anything you put your mind to.

"I'm a mum of three so I'm constantly running around after my sons, I work full time and still manage to track my food, eat homemade meals and work out every day. Anyone who sees that I can do it can know that they can too."

Kylie Jenner's split from Travis Scott is permanent as insiders rubbish reunion claims

Kylie Jenner's split from Travis Scott is set to be a permanent one - despite whispers of them getting back together after a short break.

"It doesn't look like they will immediately reconcile anymore. They have differing objectives and two different lives."

Another insider revealed the most contentious issue between the exes was whether or not to have a second child, with Kylie reportedly pushing to expand their family.

"There were several issues that made them decide to take a break," said People magazine's mole. "Kylie is all about family life and really wants a second baby."

There were also issues with trust, after Kylie dumped Travis briefly in February this year after finding suspicious DMs on his phone, prompting fears he had cheated on her.

"She still has trust issues with Travis. He hasn't been giving her the commitment that she needs," the source added.

Kenya Moore breaks silence on split from husband

Kenya Moore is setting the record straight about her surprising split from husband Marc Daly.

The Real Housewives of Atlanta star, who shares 1-year-old daughter Brooklyn Doris with Daly, opens up for the first time about the breakup exclusively in this week’s issue of PEOPLE — saying that the two haven’t filed for divorce yet and she’s hopeful they can find a way back together, but only if she and her estranged spouse can work through their issues.

“I didn’t get married to quit,” Moore says. “I love my husband. I don’t doubt that he loves me. Let me be clear, I took my vows seriously. I believe in for better and for worse and I believe in trying it all before you walk away, especially when we do have a child and we are a family.”

Unfortunately, she “doesn’t get the sense that [Daly] feels the same way.”

“I am hopeful, and have always wanted to work on our relationship. But I just don’t know if that’s even a possibility at this point, honestly,” Moore admits. “Marc doesn’t seem to be there. I’d feel more comfortable calling it quits if I knew I’d tried everything and it still didn’t work. And we definitely didn’t do everything we could have done to save our relationship.”

Back in September, Moore, 48, and Daly, 49, shocked fans when they announced in back-to-back statements exclusively to PEOPLE that they were going their separate ways after two years of marriage.

“Stop issuing drivers’ licence to drug addicts” – NURTW tells FRSC

National Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW) has advised the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) to stop issuing driver’s licence to drug addicts and motorists who consumed alcohol and other hard substances.

Alhaji Ahmadu Haruna, Chairman of the Union in Barkin Ladi Local Government Area of Plateau, gave the advice on Wednesday at the launch of the 2019 Ember Months Campaign organised by the Bukuru Unit Command of FRSC in Barkin Ladi

According to Haruna, proper checks on the personality and lifestyle of drivers before issuing them with a driver’s license will go a long way in ensuring sanity on the highways.

He advised the corps to subject anybody coming to obtain a drivers license to thorough medical checks to ascertain their level of fitness to ply the highways with vehicles

“We want to call on FRSC to stop issuing driver’s license to drivers who consume alcohol and other hard drugs.

“These are the category of persons who don’t respect traffic rules and regulations; indulge in speeding, overloading and other forms of recklessness on the roads.

“We in NURTW don’t have the powers to arrest them or even stop them from driving, particularly that they have been licensed by the authority concerned.

“So, we are calling on FRSC to conduct proper checks before issuing a license to drivers,” he advised.

Hilarious! Mum ordered to pay cheating husband $7,500 gets last laugh with help from bank

A mum who was ordered to pay her cheating husband a $7,500 divorce settlement received a helping hand from her bank to play one last trick on her ex.

Brandi Lee filed for divorce after allegedly discovering her husband had been having an affair with a family friend who had attended their wedding and watched them exchange vows.

In a post on Facebook , the mum-of-two from America wrote: "So a man that I was married to, bless his heart, decided to do me the biggest favour of my life and slept with his own FRIEND’S wife.

"The woman who attended my WEDDING and watched me hold hands and look into the eyes of the man I loved and promise him my forever all while knowing damn well they were sleeping together!

"Well I busted 'em and that led us into divorce court, and for some god awful reason, I was ordered to pay HIM $7,500.

"It is what it is and now I have to pay him. Court’s order. So I’m paying him!

"The court order, and I quote, says I have to pay him 'the sum of $7,500'. That’s it. It does not say how."

Noticing she could pay the sum by any means she wished, Brandi went to her local bank to explain her plan to pay her cheating ex entirely in coins.

After telling staff the whole story, she said the 'beautiful little ladies' were more than happy to assist her in turning the settlement into ten-cent coins, as well as supporting her with a payment plan.

Ten huge boxes of coins weighing roughly 160kg were then sent to her husband to deal with.

People loved her 'genius' move, with one commenting: "I wish we could see his reaction lol, good for you!"

The Airport Command of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) has arrested a 54-year-old widow who ‘ingested 60 wraps of heroin’.

The woman was arrested at Lagos Airport at the weekend.

The command also arrested a 45-year old-man for ‘ingesting 93 wraps of cocaine’ during the outward clearing of passengers’ to board a Lufthansa flight to Frankfurt.

Briefing reporters on the arrest, the NDLEA Airport Commander MMIA, Garba Ahmadu said the woman who ingested 60 wraps had difficulty excreting  28 wraps  out the 60 she ingested.

He said her life was in danger because of the remaining wraps.

Ahmadu noted that the female trafficker Alhaja Sulaimon Kudirat Adunni who hails from Abeokuta Ogun State started having problems a day after her arrest as she  developed complications, vomited two  wraps of suspected substance resulting from irritation and stomach discomfort.

According to him, she coughed  intermittently before vomitting and fainted in the process.

“She was promptly rushed to the Lagos State University Teaching hospital LASUTH. The suspect was examined by a team of medical specialists, ultrasound scan performed and CT scan was later recommended, which was immediately carried out on the suspect”.

The NDLEA Airport Commander noted that after she was certified stable, the suspect was taken back to custody for further investigation in order to unravel other possible associates that are linked to the case.

Ahmadu assured that the suspect was kept under strict observation for possible excretion of the remaining 32 wraps.

The second suspect Adindu Obinna Hyacinth, 45, from Nnewi, Anambra State, did not give much problems as he  excreted the 93 wraps ingested.

But one of the wrap was in the process of almost unwrapping in his stomach.

“In the process of excretion, the suspect made the first excretion of 35 wraps of suspected hard drugs and it was observed that one of the wraps excreted was almost unwrapped.

The management promptly referred the suspect for medical attention at LASUTH.

The suspect was observed at the hospital by a team of medical specialist and later administered some medications”.

Caitlyn Jenner cruelly mocked on SNL ahead of 70th birthday celebrations

Caitlyn Jenner was cruelly used as the butt of a joke on Saturday Night Live, the night before she celebrated her 70th birthday.

SNL comedian Michael Che used a joke about Kanye West to take a dig at Caitlyn’s identity during the ‘Weekend Update’ segment.

He said: “At first I thought Kanye was losing his mind… and now I feel like he’s fine, he’s just turning into an old white lady.”

The comedian continued: “I mean, he used to be one of the coolest black dudes on earth.

"Now he’s showing up to events in sweatpants and orthopaedic sneakers, listening to Kenny G and trying to get black people to like Trump. It’s like how long until this guy changes his name to Kathy?”

He added: “Now you might think I’m crazy, but about five years ago, there was a fella named Bruce Jenner, and he moved to Calabasas…”

The attempt at humour immediately fell flat with the audience, many of whom groaned loudly and audibly said “noooo”.

Taking to Twitter , one outraged viewer wrote: “Michael Che just deadnamed and misgendered Caitlyn Jenner on air for a joke. The joke? Implying Kanye West is trans. F**kin hell mate.”

Another tweeted the show directly, saying: “Transphobia isn’t funny”.

Kanye West claims social media makes married men 'suffer like Jesus' with women's sexy snaps

Kanye West may be married to serial sultry picture poster Kim Kardashian , but he thinks all the sexiness on Instagram is a bad thing.

The rapper, 42, slammed women who post half naked photos on the app, claiming it makes married men like him "suffer like Jesus".

Speaking in an interview with Apple Music, Kanye, who has recently converted to Christianity, compared Instagram to "modern day cigarettes" for how addictive it is.

He believes women wouldn't be taking or posting such saucy photos if apps like that didn't exist.

Kanye said: "I suffer - and I appreciate the suffering because we can just feel a little bit of what Jesus felt when we suffer - but social media makes me suffer.

"I suffer from that and by me saying this out loud, I'm sure there's other married men that suffer in a similar way that are happy to hear me say, 'Oh ya, I'm suffering.'"

When asked why this relates to married men, Kanye said: "Because social media prompts women in particular to put out content that they wouldn't have put out..."

When host Zane Lowe asked him if he was referring to his sex addiction, he responded: "Yeah... I deal with my addiction.

"When I was younger and I wanted to see something like that I had to pay someone that was older to go to 7/11 and buy it."

Kanye recently told wife Kim that it affects his soul when her pictures are too sexy.

Kanye is currently promoting his new album Jesus Is King, which came out on Friday.

hilarious photos: New Brit couple fight dirty in front of stunned plane passengers

A British man and woman grappled on the floor and punched each other in front of horrified onlookers on an airport shuttle bus.

The pair - believed to be a new couple - broke into a fight at around 10pm on Saturday after landing in Alicante as other passengers shouted 'oi, stop'.

Shocking video footage captured the incident, showing the woman hitting the man sat on the floor.

After the Ryanair passengers broke up the fight, things kicked off minutes later - and the man proceeded to punch her in the head.

Onlookers say the woman repeatedly called the man "such a b * d" while the man is thought to have called the woman a "psycho b***h".

Sources suggest the pair were separated but were locked on the shuttle bus outside the terminal while waiting for police to arrive.

The man was reported as getting off the bus as soon as the doors opened, with one source claiming to have seen him sat on a bench in Arrivals.

One stunned eyewitness said the woman told her she and the man were on holiday together to Alicante, Spain - despite being in a "very fresh relationship".

The passenger, who was also on the Ryanair flight from Birmingham, described the brutal fight as "shocking and mortifying".

She admitted that she "found the thing hilarious" and "embarrassing" - adding: "I just thought to myself - 'oh, he we go, typical Brits abroad'.
