A heated debate ensued during plenary at the National Assembly today over the case of Hammed Ali, Comptroller General of Customs.
Hammed had secured a letter from the Attorney General of Federation defending his action of appearing before the senate without his uniform.
The letter infuriated the senators and alot of tem spoke againts it calling it an isnult.
One of the senators who spoke was Dino Melaye who started by saying, ‘I’m an authentic graduate and student of Ahmadu Bello University Zaria’.
He continued to say,’Ali is not fit and qualified to hold the position of Comptroller General of Customs’.
