The N-Dubz rapper, 32, was filmed by a friend as he caught fish from a lake that's closed to the public during the coronavirus lockdown.
To tackle the spread of the COVID-19 virus, people are asked to stay indoors and only go outside for essential travel, to pick up groceries and medication and for one round of daily exercise.
The videos of Dappy, whose real name is Costadinos Contostavlos, were shared on an Instagram story belonging to one of his friends, who describes himself as a "philanthropist".
One of the videos sees Dappy heading to the edge of the lake to drop a fish back in the water with his bare hands.
It's captioned: "@dappy100 We not even been here for 5 mins & we catching"
The next post was a picture of Dappy, dressed in tracksuit bottoms and a T-shirt, crouching down as he proudly held up his catch of the day.
Another video, captioned "light work" sees the rapper standing at the edge of the lake with his fishing rod cast into the water.
As a fish dangles on the hook, Dappy gets out a net and scoops it up, before carrying it over to a makeshift table as it wriggles for its freedom.
Leaning over it with a roll-up cigarette dangling from his mouth, Dappy touches the fish and gives his mate a fist bump.
The person who posted the videos on Facebook, also shared a message sent from one member of the organisation who helps run the lake to another.
It read: "just got a call from one of our members saying tha DAPPY from N,DUBS if sat down gobians fishing with his mate and when he was approached by one of our members walking his dog he said 'the lake is shut atm mate your not meant to be fishing' and old dippy dappy said 'I CAN DO WHATEVER THE F**K I WANT!" what a c***"
Sharing it online, the man wrote: "Evening all,
"Whilst we're all abiding by the lockdown restrictions and doing our bit to help save the nhs, why is it celebrities think the rules dont apply to them?
"Today the lake i help run was poached by a non member!!! The lake has been closed since the lockdown started and no one has fished it except non members breaking the lockdown rules.
"He was approached by a local who is also a member and explained that the lake was shut and he shouldn't be fishing.
"This is his reply and the video is his mates post on Instagram today.
"Not even hiding it!!!"
