Soldiers and Policemen are currently stationed at the Ikoyi Correctional Centre as we type.
“I can see them from my house at the moment. Soldiers and policemen have arrived. I saw prisoners throwing stones and I saw fire”, an online eye witness says.
There's also a report of fire outbreak at the prison facility, but no jail break.
