Buhari Panics as Jonathan Opens Up on 2019 Presidential Ambition
Former President, Goodluck Jonathan, has on Thursday, July 7, denied reports that he will be contesting the 2019 Presidential election.
The report, which was published by an online medium, stated that Jonathan declared interest to run for the Presidency in 2019, during his recent visit to Bayelsa, sometime in May.

It was also reported that Jonathan was inundated with calls from Nigerians, “to re-contest and salvage the economy from the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC.
However, Jonathan’s Media Aide, Ikechukwu Eze, denied that the former President is considering taking another shot at the Presidency. Eze, said the former President never made any declaration on 2019 election.
Recall, that Jonathan contested the 2015 presidential election on the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, against President Muhammadu Buhari of the APC.
Before the final count at the International Conference Centre, ICC, in Abuja, by the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, Jonathan called Buhari on the phone, to congratulate him on his victory.
