Police turned up at the hotel in Sanya, China, and arrested the teenager.
According to an official Haitang District police statement, the woman's posts on China's Twitter-like microblogging platform Sina Weibo and instant-messaging application WeChat caused numerous people to turn up at the hotel to knock on her door.
A number of people also called the front desk enquiring about the guest in room 6316, the statement added.
A subsequent post on WeChat showed the woman begging for people to "stop sharing" her offer, which she claimed was "just a joke".
The hotel called the police, filing an official complaint against the guest, but when Haitang District authorities arrived at the Hilton at 10pm - two hours after she made her first post - the woman had already checked out and disappeared.
The police statement said she was found at a hotel at Sanya Phoenix International Airport on March 2and arrested on prostitution charges and for disrupting the Hilton hotel's business operations.
She was jailed for 15 days and fined the equivalent of £57. Her social media accounts have also been suspended.
