Luke Quatrini, 34, allegedly conned his granddad - who died last year - to put down a £500 deposit for breast surgery for girlfriend Emma Hodges.
Aspiring model and hairdresser Emma, 29, later posed for a series of racy underwear shots showing her wearing just lacy bras and knickers.
Quatrini used his grandad Clifford Bartlett's bank card without his permission to pay for the boob job deposit, a court heard.
There was no allegation Emma has done anything illegal.
The court heard £3,000 went missing from Mr Bartlett's life savings and left the retired docks worker without money to pay his household bills.
Quatrini is also accused of using the card to pay for Ryanair flights, online shopping on Amazon, hiring portaloo toilets and building work.
He is accused of fraudulently spending more than £1,000 from the Nationwide account.
Prosecutor Emma Harries said the crimes took place over 10 months after Quatrini moved in to his grandfather's house in Newport, South Wales, in 2012 after a fire at his own home.
Miss Harries said: "He had not given anyone permission to use his card."
Newport Crown Court heard former docks worker Mr Bartlett broke down in tears after believing his own family was stealing from him.
Mr Bartlett told police: "I have had all my life savings and pension stolen from me.”
His son Michael told the court his father broke down crying during a visit to his house.
He said: "He was really upset. He started crying, which was most unusual for him.
"He explained that a few days before, a letter had come from his building society to say that one of his standing orders, it was for his electricity, had been rejected and that there was no money left in his account.
"Over £3,000 had gone missing from the account and nobody could understand why."
Mr Bartlett said his father was "fragile physically but mentally he was very good".
But Luke Quatrini, of St Julians, Newport, South Wales, denies five counts of fraud.
