Recently, Tolu Adesanmi, CEO of Dubai Afrika trended online simply because he posted a picture of himself home alone on a Saturday and declared he is single and searching.

While chatting with Saturday Beats, the entrepreneur said that he is on the verge of travelling to some African countries in search of a wife as he is not impressed with Nigerian girls.

“The viral post is actually still recent. I posted a picture of myself alone at home with a caption that I am single on my personal Instagram page and a blogger picked it up. Before I knew what was happening, it had gone viral.

With the kind of job I do, I meet women every day but the kind of women we have these days are those I tag as new generation ladies and I cannot date them because the kind of woman that suits me is the type that can build a home and not someone who just wants to show off.

As an African man, I do not want that kind of lady in my life. I am sorry if this comes out the wrong way but I would prefer not to settle with a lady from Nigeria due to the challenges that come with the relationship.

I would like if the woman is from an African country and in fact, there was a time I planned  visiting some African countries to get a wife because I feel Nigerian girls are going to the extreme especially with trends.

I was planning to go to Sao Tome or Cape Verde and spend about three weeks there. I planned to meet new ladies and see new faces there because I feel that the mentality of the ladies there would be better than that of most Nigerian girls,” he said.

When asked if he was speaking this way because a Nigerian girl probably broke his heart, he simply said, “Virtually every guy has been hurt by Nigerian girls and I have dated several Yoruba girls but at the end of the day there were issues.

Some of the ladies are becoming extremists with their feminism to the extent that you cannot talk to them or advise them and at the end of the day, you would have no choice but quit the relationship. With the kind of job I do, I need peace of mind.”

He went further to describe his dream girl whom he said had to be a strong lady. “As an entrepreneur, I would like to be with a strong lady that would support what I do. I do not want to end up with a model, make-up artistes because I believe they are everywhere, or a slay queen. I want someone that I can build something concrete with, a future,” Adesanmi said.
