Kim Kardashian's former bodyguard Pascal Duvier is being sued for millions of dollars for failing to protect the reality star the night she was robbed at gunpoint in her Paris hotel room.

AIG filed a lawsuit against Duvier and the security company he works for. They are suing for $6.1 million. The same amount the insurance company paid Kardashian for the jewelry she was robbed of during the October 3, 2016 heist.

AIG said in its suit that Duvier was not around when five masked gunmen stormed into Kardashian's Paris hotel room, tied her up, put her in a bathtub and then robbed her.

Kardashian was in France at the time for Paris Fashion Week with her sisters. Before she was robbed, Duvier had left her alone without security to accompany Kendall Jenner and Kourtney Kardashian to a nightclub.

According to TMZ, the insurance company also claimed that there were a number of security breaches that Duvier failed to report. For instance, AIG said the front gate to the courtyard of the hotel was missing a lock. The company also said the intercom to the door was not working.

AIG said in the lawsuit that the security breaches allowed the gunmen to enter the hotel and make their way up to Kardashian's suite.

AIG also found fault with the concierge at the hotel for not having security training, but neither he nor the hotel are named in the lawsuit. The concierge was held at gunpoint and forced to unlock Kardashian's hotel door.

The Keeping Up With the Kardashians star was robbed of an estimated $10 million of cash and jewelry, including a $4.49 million ring and a jewelry box containing about $5.6 million. Hours before the heist, Kardashian had posted Instagram photos flaunting some of her pricey bling.

The gunmen, who disguised themselves as Paris police officers were eventually arrested. The leader, 60-year-old Aomar 'Old Omar' Ait Khedache, told police that they watched Kardashian's Instagram to know when she would be arriving in Paris and what jewelry she would have with her.

He also said someone 'very close to her' reportedly told them information about Kardashian's whereabouts during the trip.
