But now Jennifer Lopez has revealed Diddy apologized to her fiance Alex Rodriguez shortly after commenting on the racy snap.
'Just so you guys know, he wrote Alex after that. He was like "I didn't mean anything by it. I have nothing but respect for you guys. I'm so happy for you guys,"' the singer, 49, said during a Thursday appearance on The Breakfast Club.
The hilarious drama all started back in January, after JLo flaunted her toned abs on Instagram.
Diddy left a flattering comment onto the photo, writing 'OMG' along with a heart eyes emoticon.
Meanwhile, Alex made sure to mark his territory with his own complimentary message.
'Lucky me,' he commented, along with a heart, baseball, and check emoticon.
Jennifer said she and Diddy were both just 'kids' when they dated back in 1999 to 2001.
'We were boyfriend and girlfriend when we were little,' she explained. 'That was so long ago. It was a different type of relationship... we were kids.'
Now, Jennifer is engaged to Alex after the former baseball pro proposed during their romantic getaway to the Bahamas last month.
