Princess Anne’s dog trainer shot dead in 'murder-suicide bid' with husband arrested

The woman killed in a suspected murder-suicide attempt in a tiny Somerset village has been named as Princess Anne's dog trainer.

A wounded 67-year-old man has been arrested after a woman was shot and killed at a property in the remote Somerset village of Winsford.

Avon and Somerset Police said officers fought to save the life of the woman found seriously wounded at the home deep in Exmoor National Park.

However she died at the scene.


The victim has been named in media reports as 56-year-old Debbie Zurick, who was said to have trained Princess Anne's dog, Sparkle alongside her husband.

According to the reports, the pair lived on the Prime Minister's family's Nethercote estate.
