Female editor with Radio Benue, Jill Iyuadoo Tor-Agbidye, who was abducted from her residence in Makurdi, the Benue state capital, on December 2nd 2016, has regained her freedom. She was released from yesterday December 5th.
Five gunmen broke into her home in Makurdi in the middle of the night and forcefully took her away. The state police command had said preliminary investigations showed that the kidnap was with the help of an insider.
The state police command have confirmed her release but has refused to state the circumstances surrounding her release or whether any ransom was paid.
