Lenovo strengthens retail footprint, debuts first direct-to-consumer store in Nigeria

Lenovo Technologies has opened the doors to its first branded retail experience store in Nigeria in an exclusive partnership with SLOT Systems Limited.

Strategically located in the vicinity of the country’s largest tech retail shopping district of Computer Village in Ikeja, Lagos, the new store will provide Nigerians with the opportunity to experience and interact with a wide range of Lenovo products, including Smartphones, Notebooks, Desktops and All-in-Ones, as well as address their dynamic computing needs, all at a single location. Technical experts will also be available in-store to provide knowledge and assistance to customers.

Speaking at the launch of the store, Mr. Bolade Oyekanmi, Marketing Manager for Lenovo Technologies’ West Africa operations, described the initiative as a demonstration of the importance of the Nigerian market to Lenovo and its commitment to making smart technology and after-sales support more accessible to its consumers.

“Our new store brings the very best of Lenovo to our consumers and we are thrilled that Lagos has been selected as its home. This launch forms an integral part of our commitment to delivering a truly interactive retail experience that gives our customers and business partners the opportunity to see, touch, experience and do more with their mobile and personal computing devices, all made possible by technology from Lenovo,” he said.

He added that the opening of the store will delight consumers who are often forced to buy products such as smartphones and laptops without having a chance to try them out before making their purchase.

With its wide bouquet of products and services, the new Lenovo store provides consumers with an exceptional retail experience while showcasing Lenovo’s technology leadership in the IT industry. The store also features the latest accessories to complement Lenovo’s product offering.

Lenovo’s new branded store and its extensive network of retail and business partners in Nigeria bring the company’s expanding retail presence to more than 250 points nationwide, with plans to increase this number in the near future. According to Oyekanmi, customers who purchase Lenovo products through these retail partners will enjoy the same superior product quality and unparalleled after-sales support services that are available at its branded store.

Also speaking at the event, the CEO of Slot Systems Limited, Mr. Nnamdi Ezeigbo said: “We are happy to partner with Lenovo to drive the availability of smartphones and personal computers in Nigeria. There is a huge demand for quality products here and Lenovo has the right product range to cater to this demand. Together with Lenovo, we aim to offer feature-rich products for all segments and also provide a compelling shopping experience through Lenovo’s retail store.”

The new Lenovo retail brand store is located at 2B, Medical Road in Ikeja, Lagos.
