Daniel opened up about the moment in the CBS News special Meghan and Harry Plus One, telling host Gayle King that the royal was so floored by the gesture that she didn't have any words to share — only an emoji.
'I sent her a pic,' he recalled. 'I think it was a screen grab of the two of them in front of the portrait. I think all I wrote was, "Girl." She wrote me back like the big eye emoji.'
The exact emoji that was sent remains unclear, but it was likely the flushed face emoji, which is a yellow face with raised eyebrows, wide eyes, and blushing cheeks.
