Donald Trump has lashed out at Stormy Daniels over a sketch of a man she claims threatened her in a car park over their alleged affair. The President tweeted about the porn star for the first time yesterday, claiming the man portrayed in the e-fit was "nonexistent".
He also branded Daniels, whose real name is Stephanie Clifford, a "total con job".
In response, Daniels' lawyer Michael Avenatti said his client would likely update a lawsuit she has filed against the president to include a charge of defamation.
The adult actress is currently fighting a 2016 nondisclosure agreement arranged by Trump's lawyer, Michael Cohen, in which she was paid $130,000 to keep silent.
Trump's lawyers are seeking at least $20 million in damages from Daniels for violations of the nondisclosure agreement.
On Tuesday, Daniels released a sketch of a man she claims threatened her in a car park in 2011.
She and Avenatti are offering a $100,000 (£70,000) reward for information leading to his identification.
The picture they released showed a man with facial stubble and a chiseled jaw, who was wearing a hoodie.
