The victim was s.e.xually assaulted in the early hours of the morning in Southampton on December 12.
Detectives investigating the rape of the schoolgirl have appealed for witnesses who may have been on or near Southampton Common at the time of the incident to contact them.
An investigation was launched after receiving reports that the girl had been attacked.
Police said that officers had been carrying out inquiries in the local area and were keen to speak to anyone who was on the Common between 10pm on December 11 and 5am on December 12.
They were also conducting CCTV inquiries and would like to hear from anyone who lives on Marshall Square, Barkshire Court, Hulse Road, Northlands Road and Cemetery Lane in Southampton.
Officers said the victim was today being supported by specialist officers.
