Former Super Eagles striker Emmanuel Emenike has opened his account at his new club West Ham United with a brace.
Emenike who joined West Ham on January transfer day deadline scored in the 64th and 85th minute in his side’s 5-1 away win at Blackburn in an FA cup 5th round tie.
Blackburn midfielder Ben Marshall had opened the scoring in the 20th minute.
However, his strike cancelled out by Nigerian international and Super Eagles winger Victor Moses in the 26th minute.
West Ham’s Dimitri Payet scored in the 36th minute to give the away team the lead before the break.
Emenike’s double in the 64th and 85th then later put the game beyond reach for the home side, before another Payet’s strike in the 90th minute sealed a quarterfinal berth for West Ham.
